Speech Therapy helps people of all ages who have speech difficulties and language difficulties to improve their communication skills. This is helpful not only for correcting common speech difficulties like articulation (making certain sounds) and lisps, but for other language difficulties including dyslexia. Our speech therapy team works with our patients to discover what language difficulties the patient may have, the cause of the difficulty, and the treatment plan to build the skills to improve communication. Speech therapy can be helpful in the treatment of:
- Articulation problems including lisps, pitch, and volume.
- Speech flow problems such as stuttering.
- Oral problems such as trouble eating, swallowing, and drooling.
- Written language problems including dyslexia and dyspraxia.
