What screening or training do the hospice volunteers receive before they are placed with patients and families?

All of our awesome volunteers receive 16 hours of hospice and bereavement orientation before meeting our patients. Our volunteers also receive continuing education through regular inservices, and they are trained specifically on the needs of hospice patients and caregivers.
